Job Description
As a Warehouse Supervisor at Capstone Logistics, you will play a key role in managing the day-to-day activities of warehouse associates while ensuring safety and productivity standards are consistently met. You will be responsible for overseeing warehouse operations and handling customer service issues, performance monitoring, and associate management. This position serves as a training opportunity for career growth, with the potential to manage your own site in the future as Capstone continues to grow.
Responsibilities of the Warehouse Supervisor
The following are the responsibilities of the Warehouse Supervisor at Capstone Logistics:
- Ensure the warehouse runs with safety and efficiency as top priorities.
- Communicate daily with associates about service levels, accountability, pay, and performance expectations.
- Create and transmit daily work logs to corporate.
- Audit daily labor and billing reports.
- Ensure customer needs are met on a daily basis.
- Document and resolve any customer service or associate-related issues.
- Ensure all associates adhere to Capstone policies and safety work rules.
- Hold weekly safety meetings and ensure associate participation.
- Assist in managing the site and departmental budget.
- Schedule associate shifts based on customer requirements.
- Interview, hire, and train new associates.
- Supervise accurate data entry for all services performed.
- Complete daily closeout tasks, including cash balancing, data uploads, and payroll administration in accordance with Capstone policies and procedures.
Requirements for the Warehouse Supervisor
Given below are the qualifications, experience, and skills required for the Warehouse Supervisor role at Capstone Logistics:
Qualifications:
- A BS/BA degree or Associate Degree with equivalent experience is preferred but not required.
- Certification in warehouse or logistics management is a plus but not mandatory.
Experience:
- At least 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in an industrial setting, preferably in warehousing or logistics.
- Proven track record in supervising warehouse employees, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Experience in managing budgets and the ability to create and maintain various management reports.
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to make decisions, problem-solve, and prioritize assignments in an ever-changing environment.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Physical Skills:
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to safely operate material handling equipment as needed.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment on concrete flooring and in varying temperatures.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

The shift for this position is as follows:
